Most corporate team building activities end when the sun goes down. The Sarajevo Movie Making Challenge is designed to peak exactly when your evening event begins. This high-energy workshop transforms your conference itinerary into a full-scale cinematic production, using the historic and cultural backdrop of Sarajevo—the true film capital of the region—as your creative playground.

The group breaks down into independent film crews. Before anyone shouts "action," teams must collaborate to script, storyboard, and direct a concise short video. Whether the brief is a satirical company advertisement, a high-tempo music video, or a mockumentary about your industry, the content is fully tailored to your business goals and internal corporate culture.

Running a successful crew requires strategic role delegation. Team members choose roles based on their individual strengths: from directors and producers managing the timeline, to camera operators handling the equipment, and actors stepping into the spotlight.

How the session runs

  1. Briefing and crew formation

Teams are formed and the creative brief is revealed. Each crew picks its roles: director, producer, camera operator, actor.

  2. Script and storyboard

Crews plan the story, sketch the shots and agree who does what before anyone picks up a camera.

  3. Shooting around Sarajevo

Equipment in hand, crews film their scenes on location against the city's historic backdrop, working to a fixed timeline.

  4. Editing and finishing

The footage is cut into a short film, with our team on hand to help with the technical side.

  5. Premiere and awards

The films are screened for the whole group at your event, followed by an awards round.

What your team takes back

Roles chosen by strength

Directors, producers, camera operators and actors all matter, so people end up doing what they are good at, not what their job title suggests.

Planning under a deadline

Crews have to agree a concept, divide the work and deliver on time. It mirrors a real project, only more fun.

A result you can keep

Each team leaves with its own short film, a record of the event that people will want to share afterwards.

Common questions

Does anyone need film or acting experience?

No. Every crew needs directors, producers, camera operators and actors, so there is a role for each personality. Our team helps with the technical side.

Can the films be about our company?

Yes. The brief can be a satirical advert, a music video or a mockumentary, built around your products, values and company culture.

What happens if the weather turns?

We monitor conditions from three days out. If needed, crews shoot at indoor locations, at no extra charge.
